My Philosophy

I thinks life is simple in its complexity and all it amounts to is four simple personal rules:

We are here to be happy: There's not much I know of the reasons we're here, and I'm positively sure I will not know in my lifetime. ( The nearest I'll ever get is knowing we survive because we can love: "Love is the answer at least for most of the questions in my heart. Like why are we here? And where do we go? And how come it's so hard? - Jack Johnson" ) What I do know is whatever we do, it always should revolve around the idea that it must fulfill us. We should always try to do what most suits our expectations of happiness, whatever it is that makes you a happier person, go for it. Big or small, it is through our own personal decisions that we make of our lives what we want them to be, and the sole objective is being happy. Feeling replete as a human and individual, that's what it's all about. That doesn't mean I refer to happiness as a goal or destination, but as a way of living, or travelling, of envisioning the world that surrounds us. It is not a future position we're persuing, it's a daily vision. A lens through which to look at things.

I believe decisions should always lead to situations we want to be in. If something is making you miserable, quit it. If what you're doing doesn't feel right, quit it. If the decision you're making isn't for the better, you're doing something wrong. If you don't like what you're living, you're doing something wrong too. "When you're out there doin' what you're doin', are you just getting by? - P!nk"

Having said that, I am also sure life is not all about what we want to do but what we have to do too. However, what we feel bound to do is only a transition state to what we want to do. For example, I want to travel, a lot, the whole globe, every single place. But that means one thing: money; and I know my duty right now is to study to be able to get a decent revenue someday. That's how responsabilities work for me, they are always focused on a goal or dream that should provide the motivation and satisfaction to work with positivism and not make of your duty a burden. As long as you're doing what you want or working for what you want, you'll receive what you deserve and live what you've worked for. When I'm struggling over a decision, whether it's the right or wrong one, I ask myself: 'is this what I want to do?' If it is, it is almost certainly the right decision.

'Life's for the living so live it, or you're better of dead - Passenger'

Live and let live: Everything I've said before is subjected to a simple rule: it must not affect in a negative way other people. It's as simple as that. Whatever you do should always be under the subject of mutual understanding and respect towards life and nature.

Be postive: Lately when I'm about to say something I ask myself: 'Is it constructive?' If it's a negative comment I tell myself it helps noone saying it. Being assertive and realistic is a trully necessary quality too, but only on certain occassions. I find it much easier and meaningful on everyday, trivial conversations to be supportive and positive.

Be passionate: Love what you do. Do it with passion and enthusiasm, even if it's an obligation. Passion-filled duties are always the best executed and endured.
